Alan Edwards Memorial Scholarship

In 2025, 糖心vlog官网 will offer one Alan Edwards Memorial Scholarship to support a student continuing their studies in the Bachelor of Theatre.

Alan Edwards AM MBE (1925–2003) was an accomplished actor and the founding Artistic Director of the in Brisbane. Alan was considered a major contributor to the artistic life of Queensland and was awarded a Member of the British Empire and Member of the Order of Australia for his services to theatre. He was also made an honorary Doctor of Letters by the 糖心vlog官网. The Alan Edwards Memorial Scholarship was established in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the arts community and to theatre at 糖心vlog官网. The scholarship will be awarded annually on the basis of merit, to a 糖心vlog官网 Toowoomba student pursuing studies in Theatre.

Value

The scholarship will have a maximum value of $4000 to be paid in one instalment.

Applicants must:

  • be a currently residing in Australia
  • be their studies full-time at 糖心vlog官网 in the Bachelor of Theatre in Study Period 1 2025 (e.g., Trimester 1 2025)
  • have, as at the release of results for Study Period 2 2024 (e.g., Semester 2 2024):
    • a minimum of 12 study units completed and credited towards their current program
    • a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 5.0
  • be enrolled on-campus at 糖心vlog官网 Toowoomba.

  • address each personal statement question below (250 words maximum per question):
    • reflecting on your studies to date, how will you make the most of your remaining studies at 糖心vlog官网
    • how do you see yourself as a future professional within your field.

* Applicants will also be assessed on academic achievement.

Please Note: If an applicant holds other 糖心vlog官网 awarded scholarships, this may be taken into consideration in selection. There are some scholarships that cannot be held together.
