Overview

  • If you haven’t completed high school or you’re new to study, the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø’s Diploma of Multidisciplinary Studies (Social Studies) will ensure you’re ready for tertiary study.
  • Apart from the core courses, you can choose to explore approaches to social sciences, ethical issues and human rights, psychology or anthropology to start your career in social services.

Further study

As a graduate of this diploma, you will be eligible to apply for direct entry into a range of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø undergraduate degrees including the Bachelor of Arts. If you choose to go on to further studies some subjects that you choose could also count as credit toward your undergraduate degree.

Degree structure

To complete this degree students must complete 8 units. Most courses (similar to ‘subjects’) are valued at 1 unit. To study full-time you would usually complete 4 units per study period.

Once accepted into the Diploma, you will need to complete online diagnostic tests in mathematics, e-literacy, and English communication skills to assist staff in determining your level of reading comprehension, written expression, and mathematical understanding.
