Resources for LGBTIQA+ Allies

Allyship at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø

What is an Ally?
An ally does not need to identify within the LGBTIQA+ rainbow community, and there are multiple ways that allyship can be demonstrated. An LGBTIQA+ Ally acknowledges and actively responds to harassment, discrimination, marginalisation, and stigmatisation based on a persons’ gender, sexual orientation, or innate variation of sex characteristics. By supporting and advocating for the rights of individuals within the LGBTIQA+ community, Allies can contribute to a safe, inclusive, and affirming LGBTIQA+ space at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø.

If you would like to know more about engaging in affirming, inclusive, and supportive LGBTIQA+ allyship, you can complete the Supporting LGBTIQA+ Inclusion, Why LGBTIQA+ Inclusion and Gender Diversity . You are also invited to attend an upcoming interactive workshop where you can ask questions, practice new skills (i.e., sharing your pronoun), and share your experiences.
